Mawlana Shaykh teaching us that they are the shaykhs, they are the guides, they are the perfected ones- our shaykh, Maulana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, Maulana Shaykh Muhammaz Nazim Haqqani. We pray that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal always keeps us under their flag, under their guidance, under their nazar and that they be pleased with us. They are the shaykhs and we are learning servanthood, learning how to be of service to Divine Presence, how to uplift our self from negative character to good characteristics. Move towards Your Real Beingreceiving-the-light of heaven

Mawlana Shaykh is teaching us to move to our real being and leave our imitated being. And everything around us is for the enjoyment of our imitated being, not the real being. Our real being, the reality within ourselves is just a drop of that light; the whole of that light is in Divine Presence and trying to make that connection. Use that real being within me, that reality within ourselves, use that to connect with that greater reality in heavenly kingdom.

Knowledge is Power and Power is Qudrah and Energy

Mawlana Shaykh’s teaching for us is that: knowledge is power. Some people want to know why we have to know things or why we teach things. Why don’t we just meditate? What’s the purpose of knowledge? And Maulana Shaykh is teaching us that knowledge is power because they want us to understand and break down that reality that they’re dressing us with. Knowledge is power and power is qudra, and the presence of power is angelic reality. That angelic reality is energy. That energy is light.

Knowledge = Power = Qudrah = Angelic Reality = Energy = Light

Now light has a spectrum in which you see and what you don’t see. Means you may not be seeing in the association beams of light coming out unless you’ve opened up your heart in your training, and are able to see with the levels of your heart. But what they’re teaching us is that heavenly knowledge and the presence of heavenly knowledge is a power, and we are in need of that power. The presence of that power is a sign of angelic presence. That angelic presence means there’s an energy, there’s a qudrah (Power).

We have described before, like a microwave it’s able to cook everything. Once we train ourselves we begin to feel the heat in the associations, we feel ourselves heating up, we feel the back of our neck heating up, we feel our hands heating up, and thinking that the room is hot; but it’s an energy that’s coming out and activating at the level of the soul. And they cook from within. They perfect us from within, because they’re using, Bismillahir rahmanir raheem, Qul jaa al haqqu wa zahaqal baatil.

وَ قُلْ جَآءَالْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَطِلُ، إِنَّ الْبَطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahoqa.” (Surat Al-Isra)

“And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish. (The Night Journey 17:81)

“Verily when truth comes, it hits and strikes falsehood. And falsehood by its nature is ever-perishing.` So that in our negative and in our imitated being is constantly picking up negativity: negative information, negative environments, negative lights, energies, and filling ourselves with these negativity. Then when we come to the associations, read their books, hear their CDs, watch online, watch live on internet, coming through the chanting- all of these practices, all of these energies and knowledges are dressing us. These lights and these frequencies begin to hit and penetrate us and push away the negativity.

So when there’s a presence of knowledge means there’s a strong presence of angelic reality. Any association that is devoid of knowledge means it doesn’t have that angelic reality and then it becomes an imitated association for our imitated being.


The artificial Lights Remind us of the Real Heavenly Lights

Now the analogy for us is that we know this reality, from the level of our soul, it knows this reality. So then why so many people become excited like children on holidays? Because they see these lights and they remember from the reality of their soul, to be wrapped and to be nourished in these lights. But we lost the real one so we fill ourselves with the fake one. We wrap them around our house, wrap them around ourselves.

That Maulana’s teaching: if the association doesn’t have heavenly knowledge, heavenly realities, realities that we are not familiar with, ya daleel al mutahiroon Ya ghyathal mustagheethon, ya Hayyu wa ya Qayoom, 

Ya Dalilal mutahayyirin, ya Ghiyathal mustaghithin, ya Hayyu  ya Qayyum,…

…O Guide of the bewildered! O Succour for those who seek Your aid! O Living! O Self-Subsisting One! 

Means the guide of the bewildered. That these realities we never heard before, these teachings we never heard before is a sign for us that these angelic presence is coming, that angelic energy and its frequency is hitting the soul and knocking away ignorance. And doesn’t matter if you understood the knowledge or not because it’s at the level of the soul.

Then Mawlana is teaching us that we are in such desire for that reality that people love these lights,Las Vegas - Lights - 09212012 they love all these flashing lights. So where shaytaan knows that, he puts these lights all over the place. One of his main locations is Las Vegas, it is the capital of his lights. And everybody loves it, “Ooh come in, there’s so many lights, everything flashing,” because we remember that reality from our soul.

Our soul is telling us, “Do you remember that we used to see these lights but when they were real?” These angels that are carrying every different frequency of light means every different attribute, every different reality, these angels are coming with these lights and begin to dress our soul. But we don’t see that spectrum anymore. So the spectrum that we see is the imitated lights and shaytaan knows that and plays with that. And he knows that we will be happy with these lights. So they decor and decorate everywhere these lights and make us to have a happiness which is an illusion.

Then Mawlana is teaching us, “that’s okay for the imitated body but that’s not the reality. The reality is to seek out the heavenly knowledge.” The reality is to sit in the associations and read the books of these masters that are dispensing heavenly angelic knowledge, filled with Divine Qudra (power). And that Qudra (power) is moving and like a microwave it’s connecting and beginning the cooking and energizing process.

The fountain of youth is the Fountain of Knowledge

That’s why the fountain of youth that everybody’s in search of is the fountain of knowledge. That fountain of youth, that fountain of knowledge can only be opened within the heart. All of the spiritual practices, all of the realities begin to dress, begin to dress, begin to dress. Immediately Allah gives an order: Ateeullah atee ar-rasool wa oolul amrin minkum, that that has been obeyed.

أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ…
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasola wa Ulil amre minkum… (Surat an-Nisa)
bolded “… Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you. ” (The Women, 4:59)

And Allah gives order to the angels, “Begin to open that heart.” Means that heart becomes like aOasis big lake in a desert - water, trees Kawthar, fountain of Kawthar, filled with heavenly realities and heavenly oceans to quench the thirst of all those who are traveling and trying to reach that Divinely Presence. It’s an oasis in the desert of difficulty.

Means then the associations, we are all travelers and seekers, and everything around us is a desert of difficulty- our dunya and our work and all the environment around us constantly in difficulty, constantly struggling. Then we ask to come into these associations and to be blessed by these masters.

Shaykhs 3 in Stars - orangeThese masters are the owners of the Kawthar, and by their permission and by their grant, Allah ‘Azza wa Jal gives the greatest reward to the one who gives to drink the tired traveler. Means they’re asking Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, “Ya Rabbi, these are Your creation and they are struggling in that creation You have made for them. And they are asking to come from that fountain. They’re asking to come into that oasis, to sit into that oasis, to eat and drink from Your Rahmah and Your Mercy.”

Mawlana Shaykh is teaching then most definitely Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, through Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is giving permission, “Give them to drink from the Kawthar. Quench their thirst. Let them to wash with that, drink from that, nourish themselves with that and nourish and open the reality of their soul with that.”Khidr , khizr

Means then Mawlana teaching us then it’s not just any association you go to and it’s all the same but the association has to be based on heavenly knowledge. That heavenly knowledge has to be the foundation of that association and that way. That the books they have, the CDs they have, all of the internet access to the shaykh speaking live they have, all of that is a sign, that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal saying, “That zamzam, that Kawthar is flowing. Take from it as much as you can and as much as you realize your life is in difficulty and this dunya (material world) is going to become much more difficult, then be like a fish.”

Be like a Fish, Not a Rock in the Ocean of knowledge

Most of us, we are like a rock- a rock in an ocean that you just put it, it sinks and it doesn’t do bubble_gold_fish_breathinganything, just it’s there. They say: be like a fish. A fish never thinking that it cannot swallow that ocean. That’s why they’re always [Shaykh demonstrates the mouth of a fish] – fish is under the impression he’s going to swallow the entire ocean, and every breath he’s taking everything he can. Mawlana Shaykh is teaching us that when those oceans are open and those realities are around us, and these masters are teaching and allowing those knowledges to be around, then like a fish, absorb them. Dive into that ocean. Take as much as you can from that ocean. Spend your time in reading and studying from their ocean, and opening these realities upon the soul.

The time of difficulty is coming and at that time is not the time that anybody can open. Means what we know and what we sense that there’s so much negativity, then Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is teaching us then balance yourself and go deep into those realities. Now is not the time to build dunya (material world). Now is not the time to think of how to make my dunya busier, more complicated, more difficult but now is the time to balance dunya and put it aside. “Ya Rabbi, give me the ability to feed myself and have free time to worship you.” With that free time to meditate, to contemplate, to read and to go into these oceans of knowledges, so that my soul can be nourished in those realities.

Pray that in this month, the month of Muharram, the month of opening, the first month, at the level of 1 which we are traveling on a path of 1 through 12- 12 months, 12 tajallis. Our first month we step with our right foot, move into that and ask from Sirr as-Suratul Fatiha, “Ya Rabbi, bi wal Hamd, the Flag of Praise, dress us from the secrets of Suratul Fatiha. Dress us from the realities of Suratul Fatiha where all of Qur’an can be condensed into 30 juz, 30 juz into the power of Suratul Fatiha.”

12 Lunar Months and the Surahs (Chapters) of Holy Quran

First Month is Muharram – In Islamic Lunar Calendar

Common People Start with First Surah (Chapter) – Surah al Fatiha

On the first month, first surah of Holy Qur’an, asking, “Ya Rabbi, dress us from that reality of Suratul Fatiha, of praise. Make us to be under Your Flag of Praise.” Then if we are of the Flag of Praise, we are the people who praise often. Then we know we are under the Flag of Praise. Otherwise if you’re asking to be dressed from something and this is dressing you, dressing you, dressing you. You say, “What would be the characteristic of somebody who’s dressing me?” You’re asking if Allah dressing you from hamd, then you become from the people of hamd, that you don’t find happiness unless you are praising Allah, unless you are making zikr and salawat and durood. So then we know, “Ya Rabbi, dress us from that Fatiha. Dress us from that hamd. Let our imitated being and our real being in this dunya constantly praising You, constantly cherishing You, constantly thanking You.”

Awliyaullah (Saints) start with Chapter 9 – Surah at Tawbah

And all of that Surah al Fatiha can be brought in the secret of Bismillahir rahmanir raheem. Then at the level of awliya Allah, we are traveling from 1 through 12, awliya Allah are traveling from the 9. The sultan of all numbers is 9 -the highest number, highest power. They start from the 9th gate. The 9th gate is Baab at Tawbah, Surat ut Tawbah. That they’re teaching us that once you went from 1 through 12 and you be dressed from awliya Allah, means Allah says, “Keep the company of the saadiqeen,” didn’t mean that you have to be saadiqeen.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّـهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ ١١٩
9:119 – “Ya ayyuhal ladheena amanoo ittaqollaha wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.” (Surat at Tawba)

“O you who have believed, fear/be conscious of Allah and be with those who are truthful/sincere (in words and deed).”  (The Repentance 9:119)

If you keep their company, they teach you your reality and then they dress you from their reality. We’re asking, “Ya Rabbi, not only teaching about my reality,” but, “dress me from their reality.” Then their teaching for us is that we are moving from 9 around.

Surat at Tawbah has No Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

So 9 is Surat ut Tawba and 9 has no Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem because they are the owners of Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. It’s a sign for us, out of all the surahs, no Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, ‘cause you’re at the door of the owners of that reality. They own the reality of Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem and it’s hidden right now.

Means come into that presence, make tawbah. Make a tawbah, ask for forgiveness, sacrifice yourself. If you’re going to sacrifice yourself, there’s no Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, there’s only Bismillah Allahu akbar. If you are serious- if you are playing then no saying Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, you can’t make zabiya. If you’re going to make a zabiya on something, you say, “Bismillah, Allahu akbar,” and you cut it. So they’re teaching us: you put your head and ask [what’s the kashkul, the one at the restaurant, that they have these, they have like a sword. What is that, the kashkul, the one that has the sword and has a bucket? Yeah, this is from our inheritance, this is from Sayyiduna ‘Ali (alaihis salaam)].

There are 12 months and 12 imams

Every month dressed by Family of Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) 

12 Imams, 12 Months! The first month is Imam ‘Ali (alaihis salaam). Every month must be dressed by Sayyidina Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and who better than his family (alaihis salaam)? The first tajalli is coming through his family,Ba - letter then coming to the Sahabis and the Companions, and then to awliya Allah. So then who is the gatekeeper at that 9? Who is the sultan of that 9?  Where they describe all of Fatiha is in Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, all of Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem in the ba? And the nuqt (dot) of ba is Sayyiduna ‘Ali (alayhis salaam), the qudra and the power of the family of Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

This is telling us that that 9 and at the door of that 9, these are the sultan.

 “انا مدينة العلم و علي بابها”
Qala RasolAllah (saws) “ana madinatul-ilmin wa `Aliyyun baabuha.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “I am city of knowledge and `Ali is the door.”

Sultan in the presence of the sultan of all creation is Sayyiduna Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and then his family coming out (aliahis salaatus salaam) and teaching us. Sayyiduna ‘Ali (alaihis salaam) is teaching us that, “We are the door of that repentance, we are the ones who are going to teach you how to repent. 1 through 12, you were playing, you’re understanding your ma’rifa, understanding how you have to purify yourself, understanding,”

Surat at Tawbah is About Sacrifice – Bismillah, Allahu Akbar

That’s why you read the first 12 surahs. First 12 months teaching about our self. Then you read Surat ut Tawuba and you start to understand their reality. That as soon as Muharram opens, they are at the tawba and there’s no Bismillah, there’s only Bismillah, Allahu akbar. And that’s why Ashura and the killing fields, means that they symbolise sacrifice. So they walk with the kashkul, Sayyiduna Abdul Qadir Jilani also had this, the axe. It was symbolic; they always walk with this axe. They say they are the people who chop heads. They don’t give you big dunya. Don’t come to them to ask for money. Ask to come and to be sacrificed, to lose your physicality, lose the bad character.

Sacrifice Your Bad Characteristics

So means that as soon as these meditations open, coming, coming, coming, “Ya Rabbi, I have been very bad. I have followed all my desires. I’m asking You to make me to be halal. I’m asking You to make zabiya on me.” If you have to make your meat halal for you to touch it, what we have to be for Allah to approach? He say, “With that dirtiness you’re coming to Me? How? With your physical and your physicality and your physical desires, you’re coming into My Divinely Presence? Impossible!”

Then they are the people who symbolize the axe. That, “Ya Rabbi, I’m coming into that Baab at Tawba,” Surat ut Tawba where there is no Bismillahir rahmanir raheem, and Muharram starting and I’m coming, “Ya Rabbi, let this be the month where [gestures a swipe with a sword] cut my head.” Keep seeing ourselves in the meditation and asking, “Cut my head. Cut my physicality, cut my desires, ya Rabbi and let this dirtiness come out of me.”

You do a zabiya on the animal because Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was teaching that the negativity, shaytan, is in the blood. So if you eat the animal with all its blood, it’s all bacteria. All of its sickness and badness is in the blood. So then the zabiya is you cut and the heart pumps all the blood out, and then that meat has no blood. You even give the animal more water to run through the system and empty the blood.

Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) then teaching us: you’re going to your ma’rifa with shaytan running through your blood. Purify yourselves. Cleanse yourselves. See yourself in the meditation asking, “Ya Rabbi, I’m coming into the presence of Your awliya. I’m coming into the presence of Your malaika (angels). I’m coming into the presence of all the Ahl ul Bayt (family of Prophet Muhammad (saws) and all your Rasols and Your Nabis (prophets). Can somebody make a zabiya on me? To send that sword, ya Rabbi and cut my bad character.”

The World is Suffering and We are busy Playing

And see ourselves asking and asking that, “Cut this bad character, let all of these badness that’s hiding within me to begin to come out. All my desires begin to come out, all of my wants and my entertainments to come out.” We don’t see our foolishness and how we entertain ourselves and the time is short and we have to reach to our realities. And Divine is saying, “You only gift yourself and keep playing. Where are you going to reach with that playing?” All the world is suffering and we are playing. All the world is dying and we are playing. All the world is hungry and we are playing.

Then in the meditations we ask, “Ya Rabbi, asking forgiveness, astaghfirullah, ya Rabbi. Grant us forgiveness, grant us Your Maghfirah. Ya Rabbi, grant us that sword that comes and begins to cut and let me to be halal. Grant me zabiya and to be clean and purified so that You will present me to those whom are purified in Your Divinely Presence.”

That is the tajalli for Muharram, and the example of them were Ahl ul-Bayt because Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) didn’t teach something that he didn’t do. That’s why the highest level of reality is being taught to you by Sayyidina Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). All the other prophets, they taught but they didn’t do. They taught to the level they have the ability so Sayyidina Ibrahim (alaihis salaam) teaches you sacrifice- give some money, give some food, sacrifice. But when it came time to sacrifice his son, he couldn’t; he cried. All his heart was burning. Allah said, “Don’t, no need, don’t pass out. Here’s a lamb.”

But for Sayyidina Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), no lamb. He’s teaching by example, he saying, “I don’t want something for you that I didn’t do, that my grandchildren, they lead the way, Muharram - Imaam Hussain, hussayn, hussein, ashurathey show you. They sacrificed themselves. They know exactly that they were going to go into difficulty. They know exactly that they were going to be slaughtered. But for them, if they’re going to live by example, they’re going to teach us that, ‘You don’t have to slaughter yourself. But look how we don’t put importance into our physicality. When the order came, we went. They didn’t give us food and they didn’t give us water- we went.

They say this is the highest level of reality. They are teaching by actual sacrifice. We are saying, “Alhamdulillah ya Rabbi, we don’t have to make that sacrifice, but at least let me sacrifice my bad characteristics. All the wants that I have, I don’t need them. Let me to reach towards You Satisfaction and Your Happiness and those masters who sacrificed, I pray they be happy with me and dress me from their realities. They know that I’m weak and I’m not going to reach that. But they were strong and powerful. That sacrifice they made, just dress me with one drop of that reality,” and InshaAllah we’ll be safe.

Mawlana Shaykh always teaching for us that always to remember: remember those masters and great ones in Divinely Presence. What they did and how they did it? Not that we’re going to be anble to do that. Ya Rabbi we’re always going to come short. But to realize how much they were doing, so that next time we want to do something, our hand doesn’t shake or our heart doesn’t quiver, “Oh, how am I going to do like that? How am I going to fast for one day? How am I going to give something? How am I going to bring food? How am I going to do…?” Think what they were doing and how they were sacrificing.

Say, “Ya Rabbi, let me to leave one bad characteristic. Let me to leave anger and jealousy and move towards Your Divinely Presence.” InshaAllah in the meditation asking to see ourselves moving into that light. To ask to be dressed from that reality of Muharram, to be dressed by the reality of awliya Allah and Ahl ul-Bayt. And see ourselves moving into their presence and asking, “Please come and sacrifice my bad characteristics. Take away my bad characteristics,” and move into their light and move into their satisfaction, InshaAllah.
